Q. Do the shields fog?
A. When
properly treated with an anti-fogging agent, these shields resist fogging. The
patented air-flow system I built into this design allows you to control the amount of
ventilation through the shield and helmet, this also helps eliminate fogging.
Q. What about
very strong winds?
A. Because of the aerodynamic design you feel very little of the wind.
In fact, our last trip to Mammoth Mountain had a high wind warning (excess of
25mph) and we skied the whole mountain in comfort. We had several skiers and
snowboarders asking us about the wind protection, as they were freezing! The
Shields make it possible for us to ski all day without feeling the wind burn normally
associated with these conditions. Lisa is always amazed by the fact that her skin
isn't red and wind - burned anymore after a whole day on the mountain.
Q. How do these shields attach
to the helmet?
A. The shields are attatched by Stainless screws, thus ensuring
a secure fit. All you need is an Alan Wrench!
Q. What
colors are available?
A. We have 3 colors: Dark Gray (for bright sunny days), Rainbow (for
overcast days) and Yellow (for low visibility days, when the sky and the snow seem to
blend together).
Q. When
will these shields be commercially available?
A. We are finalizing our system and it should be ready for delivery next
